I decided that I can deny it no longer…after my last diet, I went right back to gaining weight. Soooo….I’m back to dieting. I can’t help but to wonder how the extra weight adds to my injuries by adding extra stress to my poor little tendons.
To succeed, I have some new weapons by my side:
- A fancy new kitchen scale. My old one kind of barely functioned…it wasn’t digital, and I often doubted it’s accuracy. Plus, it could only weigh up to a pound at a time, so I had to individually put each food item onto it to measure out my dinner each night. With this fancy new one, I can put the whole plate on the scale, tare it, add the meat, tare it, add the veggies, tare it. It’s pretty much way more convenient and exciting!

- Hummus. I get so bored with too many veggies, but the hummus keeps me excited about them…for now.
- Sugar Free Jello. I know, I know, many people are scared of fake sugar. Guess what? I’m a little afraid, but I’m okay with occasionally indulging in a little aspertame every once in awhile.

Of course, I’ve got my trusty old diet weapons along as well: the MyFitnessPal app, my homemade greek yogurt, and of course, liquid egg whites. I’m ready to do this thing!
What’s your best diet weapon?

My best diet weapon is just convincing my personal chef (aka fiance) to cook me healthy food and to not eat unhealthy (yet more delicious looking) food around me! Sometimes it works.. usually it doesn’t.

Ha! You crack me up! We have some rules in our household about meals…pizza does not count as a meal, and all meals must include veggies. Obviously this allows for some pretty unhealthy meals, but usually hubs does okay. He does have a bad habit of drowning my chicken in bbq sauce, and I’ve kind of given up the fight on that. I keep telling him to just through some paprika on mine, and bbq sauce on his, but so far, he’s never listened to me!

You are doing everything that I did! I even have that same scale and it worked really good. I probably should use it more! The SF jello is a great snack or dessert option. For dessert you can even put some fat free cool whip on it. Hummus is amazing. I eat it everyday! I buy a box of individual hummus cups from Costco.

Ooh. Individual packs of hummus sound very fancy! My love for hummus varies, but it does get me to eat my veggies!

Sadly I love fake sugar, too! I think my best diet weapon is overload on veggies and fruit!

No way! I mean, I don’t think you should overload on fake sugar, but I don’t think a half cup of jello is gonna kill you!
